Man Arrested In Garden City After Colliding With A Patrol Car
A man has been apprehended following a collision with a Cass County deputy’s vehicle during a pursuit on Friday morning. The incident unfolded around 8 a.m. when a deputy tried to pull over a maroon Chevy Silverado near Interstate 49 and Missouri Route 2, as stated by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Trying to escape from the deputy, the driver sped towards Garden City. As the chase progressed towards Missouri Route 7 and Kircher Road, law enforcement officers deployed a tire deflation device. The driver’s vehicle ran over a stop stick, causing one of the tires to deflate.
Undeterred, the driver continued but eventually lost control at an intersection in Garden City, colliding with a patrol car. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Subsequently, deputies discovered that the 38-year-old individual from Holden was a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and methamphetamine.
