Michelin Pumps Over $100M for Agri Equipment Tracks
JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Michelin, the renowned tire maker, has declared its plan to inject over $100 million into its Junction City operations for enhancing the manufacturing of agricultural tracks.
Michelin’s announcement promises an addition of approximately 200 jobs within five years, aimed at escalating the production of Camso agricultural rubber tracks. Camso, a subsidiary of Michelin Group, is known for its expertise in off-road tires and track systems.

Alexis Garcin, President and CEO of Michelin North America, stated their pride in supporting customers who are battling the global food challenge while respecting the environment. He emphasized that the investment reaffirms their dedication to Michelin’s all-sustainable strategy in North America, thus securing their position as a frontrunner in this rapidly expanding market segment and offering employment opportunities to 200 families.
Earlier this year, Michelin unveiled its intention to put more than $20 million into expanding its Emporia, Kansas facilities. This was part of their commitment to investing in North American production. Presently, Michelin provides employment to roughly 175 individuals at the Junction City facility. The recent investment will create around 200 jobs between 2023 and 2026.
