Man Wanted for Stealing $100K Worth of Tires and Rims
Laredo, TX – Laredo police are seeking the arrest of Marco Antonio Gonzalez-Oliveros, 43, accused of stealing over $100,000 worth of tires and rims from an 18-wheeler business.
Gonzalez-Oliveros faces charges of theft of property, a third degree felony. The incident occurred on June 1 at a company warehouse located in the 5900 block of Texas 359.
Business supervisors reported that Gonzalez-Oliveros, an employee, had taken the valuable 18-wheeler tires and rims without permission. Suspicion arose when Gonzalez-Oliveros prevented colleagues from accessing the warehouse for a tire change, displaying unusual behavior.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that 100 tires, each valued at $1,000, were missing. The warehouse manager confronted Gonzalez-Oliveros, who admitted to stealing and selling the stolen goods.
Authorities promptly obtained an arrest warrant for Gonzalez-Oliveros, whose last known address is on Longhorn Drive near the 1200 block.
