Free Tire Collection Event in Lamar County
Lamar county commissioner’s court sponsors free tire collection event in partnership with keep Paris beautiful and make Lamar county shine, the Lamar county commissioners’ court is delighted to host a complimentary tire collection event.
This initiative will take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon or until trailers reach maximum capacity. The event will take place at 220 N. Main St., situated east of the Lamar County Courthouse parking lot. It is specifically designed for personal vehicles such as cars, ATVs, and pickups.
Kindly note that commercial dealers, 18-wheelers, and tractor tires are not eligible for disposal during this event. The Ark-Tex Council of Governments generously provided a $4,500 community cleanup grant, making the tire collection event possible.
Julia Trigg Crawford, the chairperson of keep Paris beautiful and make Lamar county shine, expressed her enthusiasm about this collaborative effort with the Lamar county commissioners. She urged residents to gather all the tires that mar our neighbour hoods and yards and drop them off at the event.
Crawford highlights the convenience of the event by stating that attendees won’t even need to leave their cars. Volunteers will be available to unload the tires. The event starts at 8 a.m. and will continue until the last trailer is filled, so we encourage early participation. Let’s work together to keep Lamar county clean and beautiful!
