Special Tire Disposal Opportunity for Renville County Residents
It’s time for Renville County residents to bid farewell to their old tires at a reduced cost. On Thursday, July 13, Renville County, in collaboration with the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative (SMBSC) and West Central Sanitation, presents an opportunity for residents to dispose of tires of all sizes, including tracks and rubber defoliator flails.
This tire collection event is designed specifically for Renville County residents, offering a solution to the tire waste problem. Join them between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Coop (SMBSC) Bird Island piling site, located at 85592 Cty. Rd. 5, Bird Island, MN.
Access the event conveniently via the South entrance on Cty. Rd. 11. Please note that payment will be accepted in cash or check only, as cards will not be applicable. The tire collection rates are set at $0.17 cents per pound, with an additional charge of $0.17 cents per pound for rim weight.
Kindly remember to bring only the specified tire-related items as no other waste materials will be accepted during the event. In certain circumstances, such as contamination with mud or grass, Renville County may impose an extra fee of $100 per ton.
County representatives maintain the right to decline loads for any reason. Please be aware that this event exclusively serves Renville County residents, and tires from businesses or non-residents cannot be accepted.
