Tire Purchase Fraud Uncovered at Johns Creek Pep Boys

At a Johns Creek, Georgia-based Pep Boys outlet, pep boys are known for their collection of best tires. A suspicious incident of credit card fraud came to light on April 28. The store manager disclosed that an individual, under dubious circumstances, bought Michelin tires using an illicitly obtained credit card, spending close to $1,000 at the Jones Bridge Road branch.

The accused customer bypassed the non-responsive card by manually entering the card details, claimed the store manager. He purchased the tires intended for a Dodge Ram truck, and an employee unknowingly assisted him in loading them onto a U-Haul vehicle. Further red flags were raised when the said customer dialed the store post-departure to place an additional order, and then aimed to use the dubious card at neighboring Pep Boys outlets.

A turn of events led to an Ohio-based individual getting in touch with the manager, asserting that her card had been unlawfully used, corroborated by a transaction alert showing a charge of $990.99 at Pep Boys.

The customer at the center of this incident was characterized as a Black male, approximately 5’8″ tall. He had cropped black hair and was last seen wearing black long-sleeve apparel coupled with khaki pants, making his exit in the U-Haul vehicle
